In early February 2021, ICD Tan Cang-Long Binh has successfully opened the code for Yangming Shipping Line, which marked a potential beginning for the new year..
Despite the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, 2020 was is still a year that Tan Cang - Long Binh ICD acquired good achievements: Hapag-Lloyd and Cosco shipping lines successfully opened code; smooth execution of the first export containers dropped off here to move & load onto the vessel at Tan Cang Cai Mep to Long Beach Port, USA. These achievements are the results of close co-operation of SNP’s different departments & subsidiaries, promoting the solution for cargo circulation between ICD Tan Can - Long Binh and Tan Cang Cai Mep Cat Lai.
On February 9, ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh successfully opened the Yang Ming shipping line's code, adding one more cost-effective option for customers using empty depot service. This option also introduces ICD Tan Cang – Long Bình as an effective and cost-saving solution for customers and fosters the connection with Terminals in Cai Mep and Tan Cang – Cat Lai, in the context of the limited capacity of depots in the Ho Chi Minh area. This solution also helps to reduce transportation costs for enterprises in the Dong Nai area, and shorten the drop-off time at ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh compared to those of other ports and ICDs in the area, from 36 hours to 24 hours.
