SUCCESSFUL RESCUE OF THE MOL CHARISMA

At 5:00 a.m. on July 21, 2021 and July 23, 2021, the rescue team of Tan Cang Pilot Company fiercely operated and arranged outstanding pilots with many years of experience in piloting to rescue the MOL CHARISMA vessel from Vung Tau anchorage, landing and leaving TCTT in absolute safety.

Previously, the container ship MOL CHARISMA (LOA 316m, Draft 13.2m, DWT 90,390T) due to insufficient technical conditions, the Vung Tau Port Authority did not allow the ship to dock at TCTT, so it had to anchor at anchorage K3 in Vung Tau area.

On July 19, 2021, received information from the ship owner, agent and Vung Tau Maritime Administration, that the MOL CHARISMA ship had a machine problem and lost the ability to maneuver. Tan Cang Pilot Company quickly established a rescue working group to organize the development of a plan and timely advise the Vung Tau Maritime Authority of a specific plan to ensure maritime safety for the MOL CHARISMA ship to dock at TCTT.
