On June 3

On June 3, Tan Cang navigator led the MOL Premium vessel belonging to Mitsui O.S.K Lines (Japan) with a length of 294m, carrying capacity of 6,350 teus, total tonnage of 73,000 DWT to Tan Cang Cai Mep port in absolute safety. This is the largest container ship to dock at Tan Cang Cai Mep deep-water port for the first time

On February 21

The Party Committee of Saigon Military Port issued Decision No. 269/QĐ/ĐU on the establishment of Tan Cang Pilot Branch under the Party Committee of Saigon Military Port with 8 Party members.

On July 8

The Grassroots Women's Union and the Grassroots Youth Union were established.

On May 14

Tan Cang Pilot Company's Branch held the Congress for the term 2010 - 2015 successfully.

On June 24

The first escort boat with number TC-01 with an investment cost of VND 6.8 billion officially went into operation (aluminum hull vessel 15m long, 3.9m wide, engine capacity 600HP, speed 18HL/hour).

On November 1

On November 1, Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company was granted a business registration certificate by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City. Later, November 1 became the traditional day of Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Pilot Station took place at 18 Tran Phu, Ward 1, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province

March 4

Implement outstanding investment items in facilities such as:
- Investing in new construction of the TC-P2 escort boat with a value of VND 7,393 billion. The ship entered service on March 4.
- Investing in building a Pilot Station with an area of 1,100m2 at 18 Tran Phu, Ward 1, Vung Tau City.

The Twinning Ceremony between the Company and Ward 1, Vung Tau City was held.

On June 24

The Members' Council of Saigon Newport Corporation approved the policy for the Company to establish Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company with 51% of charter capital

On October 5

Inaugurated and put into operation the Pilot Station at 18 Tran Phu, Ward 1, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province. The building is 7 floors high with a construction floor area of 1,100m2.

On June 18

The Party Committee of Saigon Military Port issued Decision No. 311-QĐ/ĐUQCSG/TC to upgrade the company cell into a two-level grassroots Party committee consisting of three branches under the Agency Branch, Pilot Branch, and Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company.

Advising and directly deploying, directing, and operating the successful launching and towing of a new military ship of the Vietnam People's Navy from a specialized cargo ship to dock at a military port to ensure absolute safety.

Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company separated from Tan Cang Pilot One Member Limited Liability Company and became a subsidiary of Saigon Newport Corporation.

Expanding 2 more shipping routes to Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal (TCTT) in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal (TCHP) in Ho Chi Minh city area.

Tan Cang navigator led the SAIGON BRIDGE vessel to Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal (TCHP), marking the first batch of ships entering the port.

On April 4

Tan Cang navigator led the DIAMOND PRINCESS vessel to Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal (TCTT), marking the first batch of ships entering the port.

Officially assigned two new shipping routes

The Vietnam Maritime Administration officially assigned two new shipping routes to Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai and Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc Terminals and two new routes to Navioil port in District 7, Tan Cang Phu Huu Terminal in District 9 both in the area of Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, Tan Cang Navigator led the Van Ly - the first ship to enter Navioil port.

On March 27

The investment completed, took over, tested and put the KOCKS crane into operation. This is an event marking a milestone of business cooperation between Tan Cang Pilot One Member Limited Liability Company and Tan Cang Mien Trung Joint Stock Company in investing in KOCKS cranes and leasing to the Saigon Newport Coporation.

On January 6

The escort boat named TC-P3 was inaugurated and put into operation. The newly built ship has a length of 17m, a width of 4.14m and a capacity of 2 machines up to 810HP.

Organize the safety of military ships

Organize the safety of military ships and 15 times of new warships built in Ba Son for testing, 22 times of military ships from 10 countries entering and leaving the port, 12 ships serving the delegations of the Government, the Ministry of Defense and the Navy in the Spratly Islands.

Tan Cang navigator led the DERYOUNG SUNFLOWER vessel - the first vessel to enter Tan Cang Phu Huu Terminal.

On March 17

The Vietnam Maritime Administration assigns a route leading ships to Tan Cang - Petro Cam Ranh. On March 17, New Cang Navigator led the first foreign military vessel into the port (the RSS ENDURANCE of the Singapore Navy).

On March 23

Completed construction, received, staffed and put the TC-P4 escort boat into operation.

Functions - Missions

Newport Pilot Company Limited, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saigon Newport Corporation, carries out two missions simultaneously: organizing maritime pilots for both military and civilian ships while also ensuring national defense and security in accordance with regulations. Additionally, the company is responsible for leading foreign military ships in and out of ports as part of military diplomacy programs with various countries, including:
- Organize the maritime piloting of military ships and naval vessels from other countries to visit and exchange with the Vietnamese army and navy, ensuring confidentiality and safety.
- Lead ships to and from ports operated by Saigon Newport and berthless oil ports, ensuring maritime safety, security, and preventing environmental pollution with the principle of combining international business with national defense.
- Participate in applied research and development of science, technology, and economics of waterways, as well as training programs to improve professional expertise in the maritime industry.
